Overall Recommendation:  Excellent Purchase if you are passionate about cooking and do most of your cooking in your back yard.

Pros of the Egg:
- Maintaining Heat is easy!! The ceramic structure of the egg holds the heat perfectly.
- Ventilation system enables accurate heat control.  You want 350 for 4 hrs, you get 350 for 4 hours
-  Charcoal savings$$.  Once you get this smoke going, it consumes very little charcoal.  You can shut down to save charcoal as well.
-  High heat range - we love cooking steaks on this.   We take it up to 600F and sear the steaks....muy bien
- Longevity - this product is not going to rust out over a summer.  It should last a real long time.  This helps justify the high price.

Cons of the Egg:
- The cost - for a backyard smoker, this can get expensive.
- You can't move this around easy.  If you want to take to a competition, or tailgate, the XL, L are difficult to take.
- Weight - When moving a Big Green Egg, make sure you are paid up on health insurance.  A hernia is a guarantee if moving this thing alone. (See weights above)
-Possibility of Flare Ups/Back Drafts - Be careful as the egg can kick out a flame when opening.  We recommend purchasing a 17 inch silicon glovefor protection just in case.
